Tenaganita is a #Malaysian human rights organisation dedicated to assisting, building, advocating and protecting #migrants, #refugees, #women and #children from #exploitation, #abuse, #discrimination, #slavery and #humantrafficking.
Tenaganita was founded by my late Mum, Dr Irene Fernandez, who dedicated her entire life fighting for a more just world for the most oppressed in society, those whose voices are deliberately unheard and dignity denied. Unfortunately, her fight ended in 2014 at the age of 67 when she passed away. The fight, however, continues on through Tenaganita.
As I travel from #cambodia2scotland, I will try to meet with people, communities and organisations that work with Tenaganita, and who Tenaganita has helped, and will tell their stories through my writing.
